On September 22, the College of International Exchange of Shenzhen University responded to "1000 Academic Activities for the 40th Anniversary Celebration" and organized the 1369th Report of Academic Activities for the 40th Anniversary Celebration.

Xie Zhaoguo, the backbone teacher of the college, brought a wonderful lecture to the teachers and students by "The Cause and Effect of Lao She's Teaching Oriental College". Vice Dean Zheng Jie, the leader of the college, along withteachers Shi Beiyuan, Xu Jixia, Ji Jingjing and all graduate students of Grade 2023 in Chinese International Education, attended the event.

Mr. Xie analyzed and interpreted the social environmentat that time,explained the reasons why Mr. Lao She obtainedthe teaching position of Chinese lecturer, and introduced in detail the Chinese teaching work of Mr. Lao She in Oriental College. In the precious audio-visual materials, the students learned the development of Mr. Lao She's teaching in Oriental College.

This lecture meets the needs of the professional development of international Chinese education, helps teachers and students understand the face of international Chinese education in the 1920s and 1930s, expands students' professional horizons, helps students explore and develop themselves in combination with the current situation of the times, guides students to establish a correct view of international Chinese teaching and encourages them to progress into qualified international Chinese teachers.
